In
March-April 2001, I had requested Ameritech to switch my long
distance carrier from MCI to Sprint. Someone did not do the
job right and I never got switched over. After calling a number
of times, I finally got hold of a representative who found
that a switch that Ameritech is supposed to change never did
happened, so she rectified the mistake. But during this time
my calls were casually billed by MCI since I was no longer
their customer. My phone bill from April 19th 2001 to May
1 2001 was $883. MCI has given me credit of $559.43. I have
paid $95.25. The remaining amount that MCI has sent to a collection
agency $228.49 should be paid by Ameritech since it was their
fault to begin with. But even though Ameritech admits they
didn't switch they are not ready to pay the amount, since
I was charged directly from MCI. I would like Ameritech to
take the financial responsibility of their mistake, and pay
the $228.49.
