AOL

Hi,

I'm writing to you in the hope that you will be able to help me with a current problem I'm having with aol. Over four weeks ago I signed up for aol broadband, but straight afterwards I canceled it because I found a better deal somewhere else. When I took my broadband home and attempted to get connected I was told that there was an incompatible product on my phoneline..ie..aol. After phoning British Telecom, I was informed that it was in fact aol broadband which was on my line despite that fact that I'd cancelled it. I contacted aol and asked them if it had been cancelled and was told it had in fact not been. I was told it was then cancelled at that point. That was three weeks ago. I have since been on the phone to them several times to find out if it had been taken off and was told that it was it the hands of B.T. and that they would deal with it. On Friday 1st of December I was told by an aol employee that if it wasn't off by the Monday I was to phone back. I did this and was told that it was just on the two weeks waiting that I was to give it a few more days and then call back. On Thursday the 5th I called back and was told by yet another aol employee that the broadband had finally been taken off my line. I then contacted the other broadband company to re-register the broadband which I'd purchased. I then got up today, hoping that I would be able to use my new broadband. I eventually had to contact the company because i could not get it connected. They ran some checks and got back to me with the information that aol was STILL on my phoneline..the broadband had not been removed. It is now well over a month since I purchased my other Broadband and it is still sitting waiting to be used. I have had no reasonable explanations from aol as to why they have not removed their companies broadband from my phone line. I have asked to speak to various supervisors and have been informed that there are none there..They also have no recollection of any of the people that I have actually spoken to. Please ,please can you try to help me with this problem ..I am at my wits end trying to get this problem rectified but with no success. Any help you can possibly offer with this matter would be gratefully received.

Yours sincerely

Kathryn Brown
