I don't know if you remember when greatdomains.com first began offering domain name appraisals for fee or not but I certainly do. I sent them a request to appraise a domain name that I own along with my credit card information. It's been so long that I can't remember if the charge was $.50 or $.75 but it wasn't more than that. So they charge my credit card but I NEVER get the appraisal! Within days the price skyrocketed from $.75 to $75.00!!! The only thing I can figure is that they got so slammed with requests they upped the price & tossed out all the low cost appraisals that had already been submitted. Granted the $.75 isn't much to speak of, but it goes way beyond the money, it's the principle. Not to mention, how many others paid that $.75 and didn't get what they paid for? How much money did greatdomains.com actually rake in for literally doing nothing?
