Back
in October 2000, I placed an order for \"Marlboro Gear.\"
Two leather jackets, and some misc other stuff. Having dealt
with this process in the past with favorable results I expected
the same this time. I received the partial order in December
2000. When the remaining shipment didn't arrive by late Jan
2001, I contacted them to ask what the deal was. I was told
my order was placed again and to wait 4 weeks for delivery.
Mid March 2001 and still no delivery. So I called again. I
was again told my order would be placed again and to expect
it in 4 weeks. Mid April 2001 and still no packages on my
door. So I called again. I was once again promised that my
order would be re-shipped and to expect it in 4 weeks. Here
it is mid May 2001 and still nothing. So I've called again.
I've been passed from the peon that answers the phones to
the supervisor to customer relations to corporate headquarters,
where I threatened to post a message concerning this subject
to every news group I could find and join. Hmmm... Did I get
their attention this time? Well, I've been promised that the
order will be here in 2-3 weeks and its being shipped Fed-Ex
this time. I don't believe a word they say and I expect they
are just telling me what I want to hear AGAIN. You would think
that they have spent more time on the phone with me and the
expenses are more than the order is worth and they would do
something. I guess Ill see.

| Now
you know why Marlboro (or rather, Philip Morris) is so abominably
rich rich rich!!! I sent an order in Nov 18,2001 for three items.
My mistake, I didn't know the catalog expired Oct 2001. However,
did Marlboro send back my miles and check? No, I get a letter
saying my ID address didn't match what was on the order form.
So I sent it in again with the explanation that I moved from
GA to TX. Then I get another letter with everything photocopied
and returned, this time saying my name didn't match what was
on the order. (Not true; I have been ordering these things since
this whole Marlboro thing began and my name has never changed).
When I call the 1-800 number, guess what? No one knows a thing
about what I'm calling about. There is an order number and customer
number on the letter they sent me; none of this shows up in
their computer. Does this lead us to believe that demons are
working for Marlboro and are insidiously waylaying or sending
inappropriate mailings out about their orders?? Now I have been
told that "someone" will review this and I "may"
get my miles and check back I sent if they can figure it out.
What kind of way is this for a business to run, anyway? Before
they started on this paranoia thing of sending in ID to prove
age (and obviously, it's not to just prove age, cause they apparently
want to know every little thing about you from an ID card) I
never had a lick of a problem getting my Marlboro gear. After
this, I don't even care about their junk anymore. I'll just
go buy the stuff at the store and quit smoking---think of how
much money I'll save!!!!! So tell those big mucky mucks at Phil
Morris to stuff it in their nose. Everyone should quit smoking---what
would those fat-cat CEOs do then??? |

I
have thousands of UPC seals, and was looking for an order
form from Marlboro. I'm so glad that you have this web site,
or I might have never known. This is a shame people aren't
receiving what they ordered. Thanks again for posting this
site!!

I
too went through the exact same Marlboro gear ritual and sent
I.D., photo copies of checks, letters and more. This went on
for approximately 3 years. You'd think I'd give up but no. I
contacted the Attorney Generals office from that state and within
6 weeks I received not only my gear but my miles and refund
check back. Perseverance pays off. I will not be ripped by corporate
America.
