This complaint is about CCB collection agency.
CCB has called my home and business at least 4 times per day.
I agreed to make a payment with a representative but when
I called back at the time I agreed to make the payment the
rep. was on vacation. I later received a call at work regarding
my delinquency and I explained that I wanted to make a payment
but no one could help me when I tried because the original
rep. was on vacation. I told the new rep. from CCB, Lindsey
Cooper that I will make a payment if she would give me the
address. At this point she told me the only way to make a
payment was by electronic transfer or western union. I said
no, I will send you a payment, she than got really nasty with
me on the phone and asked for my supervisor. I said excuse
me, you want to talk to my supervisor? she replied yes. At
that point I said no, let me talk to your supervisor, she
asked what for and I replied for the harassment she is now
giving me. She refused my payment and than proceed to ask
for my supervisor. I told this rep. that I may owe you money
but I am not ignorant and know my rights and would like the
presidents name of her collection agency so I could contact
them to cease and desist any more attempts at my place of
employment. Ms. Cooper ask me what do you mean by cease and
desist? I than asked again for her supervisor, at this time
a person named Ms. Taylor came on the phone and was also very
guarded in her answers knowing full well Ms. Cooper had crossed
the line of the Fair Trade and Collection Act of 1993. I
fine that this company CCB very unprofessional and illiterate
of the laws of the field of collections and should be sued
for there harassment techniques.If
there is any class action suits out there or any advice you
may have for me I would be greatly appreciated.

just located this web site tonight. I have been fighting with
Cross Country Bank for years now and I am ready to file a lawsuit
against them. I was having trouble paying my debts so I went
through a debt management company here in NE PA early in 2001.
They harassed me badly by phone up until then. Not only did
they harass me at work, they harassed my family at home with
threatening phone calls. They refused to work with me to get
caught up or they would pretend to work with me, only to keep
up the harassment and then claim their computer system was not
updated. My counselor at the debt management company had a hard
time working with them, too and they would continue to harass
me and my family. She suggested I contact the PA State Attorney
General's office, which I did. CCB backed off really quick,
even going so far as to write an apology letter. However, they
did not mean it, because when I refinanced my house last October,
all my debt was paid off, including them. My mortgage company
overpaid on each of the credit cards. Cross Country was overpaid
$35.12. All the credit card companies refunded me the difference
within 90 days of payment with the exception of Cross Country
Bank. They played a run around game with me and even went so
far as to say they wrote the balance off. That is my money and
they have no legal right to do that (my mother in law worked
for a collections attorney for several years). To date, they
have not refunded my money. I received a copy of my credit report
and they have inaccurate and exaggerated information which I
can refute and plan to do so. I will be sending them a letter
stating they have x number of days to refund my money and update
the credit report. If they refuse or do not comply, they will
be sued in court for a lot more than the $35.12. I have everything
documented back to 2000 and every phone call on my work phone
is recorded and they have been advised of this when I talk to
them on the phone and they still hang themselves. Where do they
dig these people up from???? People need to be informed about
these rip off credit card companies. Please do not use my real
name as I do not want to tip off any one at CCB. |

too have had a lot of problems with Cross Country Bank. They
call me about 6 times a day demanding money. I sent them 3 payments
in one month and another 200 dollars recently and they are still
calling. They are adding all kinds of charges and over the limit
fees. I haven't even used my card in 2 yrs. I joined a consolidation
company only cause I wanted to make monthly payments cheaper
not because I was late but they dropped me from the account.
I never knew they did until I received a lovely call from them.
I don't understand how I can have so many charges, no one there
has ever been able to give me a answer. How do they expect people
to pay them off if they are charging them charges they shouldn't
be? I asked the not to call my house everyday and they said
they had too. That's a bunch of bull! My lawyer said it's against
the law to call more than once a day. They even called me at
work. I have done payments to them over the phone but they threaten
legal actions. I'm trying to pay them off but there is no way
unless they stop adding stupid charges on. I guess the only
way to pay them off is in full but I don't have the money for
full payment. I have two accounts with them which is double
hard. Couldn't they combine the 2? Anyway if I could get a answer
that would be great. Thanks! |

just left your web page on Cross Country bank it seems you truly
want to help these people: So could you please find a way to
let all the people who have written and live in Palm Beach,
Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River or Okeechobee Counties in Florida
That Wpec channel 12 news is trying to do a story about what
Cross Country Bank is doing to their customers but the reporters
need help, They need people from that area to tell them what
the bank is doing. The story will be airing next week but they
need input as soon as possible. If no one comes forward the
story will not get the attention that is needed to stop this
bank. They need to talk to the investigative reporters.

WOW!
What a mess this Cross Country Bank has made. A friend of mine
live in Naples Florida and told me her problems. She had a card
with/ CCB and made her payments early. But her balance kept
going up. Why? They told her because the payments. were posted
in the same month it caused her to be late and thus charged
late fees and then some. Can you please direct me to someone
in Naples that can help her. She lives on a fixed income and
can not afford this. By the way her credit limit was only about
$200.00- $250.00 that has been paid but the keep adding on the
fees and interest. Any help you can give will be great.
Thank You

Country Bank has called us four times now in the past 10 days,
we're not a customer of theirs, we don't have an account with
them, and never have had one. My wife has had this same phone
number for approximately 20 years. They claim insistently that
someone by a name we've never heard of gave them this number,
and that they used to work for us. We do not operate a business
and do not employ anyone. They are diligently attempting to
collect on that persons debt, with total disregard to the information
we have supplied them. I have told them not to call my home
again and harass us further.. we'll see where it goes from here.
I will not pay them one red cent owed to them by someone else,
nor will I back down. I will pursue this to the legal limits
of the law if pushed to do so! Please do not publish my e-mail
address as I do not want them to have any chance of obtaining
it. |
