Hi
.. My story is simple. I went to Bill Currie Ford in Tampa
to see about the power windows on my 1992 Thunderbird. They
said they looked at it and it would cost 500 dollars to fix
the window. I thought this was unreasonable even for a Ford
dealer so I declined their service. A few months later a friend
told me she had the same problem with a Crown Vic and that
a member of the lodge fixed it. I knew the man so I asked
him to take a look at it. The result was he fixed both windows
for 80 dollars. It was a plastic gear that he replaced with
a metal one. By the way, I couldn't find a place to complain
on the Ford web site, at least they don't pretend to be concerned
about their customers. My next car will be a Camry.
