| Are certain members
of Congress staging their own tax revolt and we're unaware of
it ourselves? Yep!. According to a recent IRS report more than
7.5% of Senate members and staff have not paid their taxes.
It gets worse though, according to the nonpayment rate as of
Oct 1999, House members and staff were behind a whopping 8.4%
in getting their taxes paid. The IRS is angry, to say the least,
considering Congress themselves passed a law in 1998 that made
non payment of taxes grounds for immediate firing of IRS workers.
Hummm ... ever heard the saying, "What's good for the goose
is good for the gander?" Maybe someone needs to tell that
to our government. |
