Final Note From The Author |
| This case has been very difficult
for me to write about. I have seen some very disturbing things
in my research
and I have been haunted by the images. I have had more than
one sleepless night, praying that with the election of new
politicians and the new DNA testing, Jon Benet will finally
have justice. The molestation and murder of this beautiful
child is one of the most heinous crimes of the century, not
just for the brutality of the murder, but for the unbelievably
poor handling of the investigation. From the arrogance of the
DA’s office to the petty infighting in the BPD, almost
everyone seems to have forgotten the beautiful baby that was
so cruelly cut down before she even had a chance to ride the
new bike she had received for Christmas the year of her death.
She had the promise of a life of love, talent and a wealth
of people who she touched with her heart’s sweetness.
Rest now, sweet JonBenet. There will be justice. If not in
this lifetime, then in the next. |
