Our goal here at Justice Junction is to make the world a place where when justice is denied, we act to try and educate the public to prevent the injustice from happening again. Paul Bernardo has been convicted of all counts and declared a dangerous offender. He will never be released; he will be incarcerated for the rest of his life. Karla however, is another matter entirely. She has applied for early parole twice and turned down both times. The prison officials have determined that since she is still portraying herself as a victim, she has no remorse for what she did because she didn’t do it out of free will.

She maintains that she did nothing wrong, she was as much a victim just like Leslie and Kristen. The attitude that she suffered as much or more than Leslie and Kristen is beyond vile. She is caught on videotape having sex with young women, girls hardly out of childhood, forcing them to perform for her pleasure. She will be released from her minimum-security facility in 2005. The “prisons” she has been in keeps the inmate in little cottages, where they cook their own meals, wear their own clothes, have their own televisions and lock their doors. There have been reports that Karla has been in a lesbian relationship with an inmate who is an heiress and is out of prison now. Karla was given a party for her birthday with a beautiful huge sheet cake. On one occasion, Karla posed with another inmate in black cocktail dresses for a prison fashion show. There are photos of them, smiling, their hair thrown back, wide smiles on their faces.

In an interesting side note: the other inmate in the cocktail dresses was incarcerated for the exact same thing Karla was incarcerated for. Helping her husband abduct young women to molest and kill. Karla is very afraid of what will happen to her when she is released from prison. She has had many death threats, and hate mail. There is an Internet website called byebyekarla.com. The game is to predict when Karla will be killed upon her release, in an act of vigilante justice. There is another site that has an on line petition to turn over what has been called, “The Deal with the Devil”. One of the conditions of Karla’s plea agreement was that if it was found that she had lied to, or in any way withheld information to the police, her deal would be overturned. The Canadian government has ignored that, as they have failed to take action to overturn her deal and charge her with the drugging and rape of a young friend of her dead sister. Karla claims she “remembered in a dream, or something” this crime after she was already incarcerated.

Karla Homolka Bernardo is the worst kind of predator. She does not admit how much she enjoyed acting out the horrific scenarios that Paul Bernardo dreamed up,but the tape tells a different tale. Karla has stated out of fear for her life, she will locate to America, somewhere no one will know her and “judge her unfairly” for things she was “forced” to do. She wants “a home, a husband, children…” she wrote to a friend. Do we want this woman living next door to us? Does she deserve to have children after she so viciously cut down the daughters of others? I think not. In our sights, we want to protect ourselves from this sociopath who has taken the lives of innocent children. She deserves to be incarcerated for the rest of her life, as is her ex-husband. And above all else, we do not want her in our neighborhoods, schools, workplaces or God forbid, working with our children.
She is injustice personified.
