The Stalking & Murder of 16 Year Old Laurie Show
Page 2 The Stalking

Laurie Show dated Lawrence "Butch" Yunkin on two occasions over a period of one week. On their second date, Yunkin raped Laurie Show in the back of his van, a charge which he denies. After the alleged rape, Laurie steered clear of Yunkin, "she was petrified" her father John Show stated. Laurie began receiving harassing and threatening phone calls at all hours of the day and night. When Lisa Lambert learned of the account, she perceived it as consensual sex, and was determined to ruin Laurie Shows life the way her twisted mind had perceived that Laurie had ruined hers and her baby's. How she came up with that conclusion is far beyond the reaches of this reporters mind. The attacks would then take on a violent nature. On November 22, 1991 at a local mall Michelle spotted Laurie and jumped out of Lawrence's car "screaming and cursing and started beating up Laurie against the cab of my truck" Randy Rodriguez testified. During the attack, Lisa's account was far different than those of the other witnesses.

Lisa's account:  "She would just yell at me and try to kick me, and I pushed her back. And that is the worst thing I ever did was push her back."

One witness to the attack had this to say about Lisa's account:

Randy Rodriguez: "It's garbage coming out of her mouth. It's just a lie. I was there." He went on to say: "It was vicious. It was quick. She pulled her hair. She smacked her in the face. She punched her. And then Laurie would - you know, all the while she's saying, "Stop," you know "Please stop."

Another witness to the attack said that Michelle yelled at Laurie that she had "ruined her life and her baby's life" and pushed her to the ground. Laurie apologized, but Michelle replied, "There's nothing you can do. You have ruined my life.: Weakland added "Michelle said she didn't know when or where, but she was going to kill her."

During another attack Lisa confronted Laurie in the mall:

Hazel Show: "Michelle confronted Laurie in the hallway at the mall and pushed Laurie into the wall, hitting her head."

Several were witness to the fact that Lisa threatened Laurie numerous times. Not only did Lisa threaten Laurie, but had planned her death on more than one occasion. Laura Thomas, a one time good friend of Laurie Show (they had been good friends until a falling out. Later, Laura became friends with Lisa Lambert) testified to several of Lisa Lamberts plans to torture and kill Laurie Show. Laura gave testimony regarding the pure rage and hate Lisa had exhibited towards Laurie Show and the plots that she had concocted.

In July of 1991, Michelle devised a plan in which she and a third girl (Kimona Warner) would concoct a story to get Laurie into their car and then drive her to the city. " We were supposed to tie her to a pole. Michelle was going to cut her hair, slit her throat, rape her and beat her up and spray paint an obscene message on her." She testified that by the time she and Warner arrived at Laurie's home, they had agreed not to go through with the plan. So instead the two told Laurie to "lock your doors and don't answer the phone." When Thomas and Warner met up with Michelle and Lawrence later, they told her that they could not get Laurie out of the house. Another plan was hatched in August of 1991 in which Thomas and Warner were again to lure Laurie out of her house and kidnap her. The two girls were to pretend that their car had broken down near a baseball field. Michelle, Thomas and Warner along with a fourth teenager were to wear ski masks, jump out and beat Laurie up. The plan never came together, saving Laurie yet again.

Lambert had repeated on many occasions her desire to violently end Laurie Show's life, going so far as to say that drowning would be a fast way to die, but they decided that slitting someone's throat would be easier. When asked if Lambert had ever been questioned as to what she intended to do to Laurie Show Thomas said, "She said, I swear to God, I'm going to kill her. I'm going to slit her throat.' She said that twice."

It would all come to a head on the morning of December 20, 1991 when Michelle had previously found the perfect lackey (Tabitha Buck) who would, could and did do as she was instructed to do. She knew once she found the perfect accomplice (perfect meaning someone who Lisa could control) that it was as good as done. Lisa Michelle Lambert would follow through on every threat, very plan, every word ever spoken on that morning when she would finally torture and kill 16 year old Laurie Show.
