The Adoption Triad Outreach (or the ATO) was created in 1996 by "Standing One' a reunited adoptee who was also an adoptive father. The ATO would eventually back up my "biological" mother when she abandoned me for the second time in my life after a 6 year reunion when she decided she would rather be a lesbian than stay with the man she had been married to for 30 some odd years. Instead this "mother" and I do use the term lightly decided to take off with a woman nearly half her age and forget that she ever had another family at all.
