No
one could have predicted that March 19th, 2006 would be Travis
Walkers last day on earth. Sometime that evening, Bobby Brummett
went by Travis' house to pick him up. Bobby recounted the
harrowing events of the evening in which a white Dodge Intrepid
had attempted to run him, his girlfriend and they infant off
of the road.
Brummett
was relatively sure that he knew where he could find the driver
of the Intrepid - at the Geise household. At approximately
9:00 p.m. Brummett pulled up the home of Kurt, Andrew and
Tommy Geise where they were met by 43 year old Kurt Geise
armed with a Kel-Tec 9mm pointed straight at your head.
Geise
proceeds to the drivers side of the door where he yanks open
the door and brutally tears Brummett from the vehicle and
throws him to the ground where he points the gun to his head
holding it approximately 6 inches from his skull. Geise returned
his gaze and the business end of the gun back to the remaining
occupants in the car before returning his attention to Brummett.
"While
Kurt Geise was holding Brummett on the ground, (17 year old)
Andrew Geise approached Brummett and struck him four or five
times with an aluminum baseball bat." (Quill, 2006)
Andrew
Geise managed to tear himself away from beating Bobby and
set his attention on Travis who was still seated in the back
seat of the vehicle. "Andrew Geise also stated he had
gone to the back passenger seat and struck Travis Walker three
or four times in the neck with the end of the baseball bat."
(Quill, 2006) When Travis put his arm outside of the window,
Andrew swung the bat full force hitting him in the arm.
Andrew
Geise returned to the drivers side of the vehicle where his
father, Kurt Geise, was still detaining Bobby Brummett. Tommy
Geise had taken up residence at the passenger side of the
vehicle aiming a gun at Travis Walker. The West Plains Daily
Quill states, "[16 year old Andrew Geise] struck Walker
several times with the barrel of the shotgun, then fired one
shot into the right torso area of Walker causing his death."
(Quill 2006)
16
year old Tommy Geise taunted, poked a proded 19 year old Travis
Walker, who had his arms raised in the air as he was told,
with a 12 gauge shotgun. When he was tired of playing cat
and mouse with Travis, he cold bloodily shot him in the chest.
It
is important to take note of the how the entire scene must
have looked. On the drivers side of the vehicle, you have
43 year old Kurt Geise holding a gun on 20 year old Bobby
Brummet while his 17 year old son is beating him with a baseball
bat. At the same time Geise's other teenager son, 16 year
old Tommy Geise is taunting 19 year old Travis Walker with
a loaded shotgun after which he shoots him, killing him.
Everyone
in the vehicle must have gone half insane, screaming and crying,
begging for an ambulance - begging to be allowed to take their
dying friend to the hospital - at the very least, call an
ambulance. All to no avail. The Geise's played God that night
and would not allow Travis Walker any medical help at all
- they allowed him to die in their driveway at 1078 Chapel
Road in Willow Springs, Missouri.
