Murder in Missouri
March 19th, 2006 - What You Can Do

Originally, I was not going to write this story. Why did I? For a couple of different reasons one of which was my 16 year old daughter. She knew Travis, I watched her cry Sunday night when she found out Travis was dead. She talked to me after Travis' viewing, she called me today after his funeral.

Travis has been over to my home, spent time around my family. Granted, not a lot of time, but enough time that I was able to get a general idea of the type of person that he was. It really wouldn't have mattered to me what type of person he was. The way he died was horrendous and never should have happened.

The other reason I decided to write this story is because of the reason I founded Justice Junction to begin with. The entire purpose of Justice Junction is bring attention to horrible injustices across our country. This injustice happened to occur practically in my backyard. The murder of 19 year old Travis Walker was senseless, cold blooded, and heinous to say the least and needs to be profiled here on Justice Junction.

This young man had his entire life ahead of him. He had so many things left to experience, he had not even yet begun to live his life. He will never get married, he will never have children, never go to college or find that "perfect" job.

His father will never see him smile or hear his laughter. His sister will never get to feel Travis hug her when she needs a little lift. His nephews are probably not old enough to remember what a great guy their uncle was. Such a tragic waste of life.

But there is something that you can do. You can contact the Texas County Prosecutors Office and tell them how disgusted that you are over this crime. You can tell them as the public we want these three individuals to not only receive the maximum sentence but to SERVE that sentence. They took away a life, a life that was loved and cherished - they need to pay with theirs.

We do not want any plea bargains for lesser sentences - we want the MAXIMUM! You can also tell them that you want Tommy Geise tried as AN ADULT! This is a very important point. Tommy Geise pulled the trigger that began Travis Walkers death however Kurt Geise ended his life when he refused to allow medical treatment. All three of these men need to spend the rest of their lives locked up in a cage where animals belong.

Justice Junction receives thousands of visitors every month. If every single one of you flooded the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office - they would have to listen. So please, I urge you, sit down and type or write a letter to this office or pick up the telephone and call demanding that justice prevail - please!

Just one last point that I would like to make. There was a hearing in the Texas County Courthouse the other day in which a relative of Travis' attended. They stated that during the hearing, the defendants did not even attempt to look remorseful. Instead they spent their time in the courtroom smirking at the murder victims family. What kind of people are they? People that we do want in our society. If you agree with me, please contact the Prosecuting Attorneys Office!

If you have anything that you would like to say regarding the murder of Travis Walker, or simply want to post your sympathizes to the family - please join our Discussion Board. This family needs all of our prayers and our support - please be there to give your love, prayers and support.
